A School Built on Intentional Design
Rajarshi Gurukul was established in 2013 at a time when many families seeking broader educational opportunities were looking beyond Nepal, often considering overseas schooling or boarding environments to access more structured and diverse learning experiences. The founding vision was to create an alternative — a school that could offer academic depth, thoughtful pedagogy, and a complete learning environment within the local context.
Under the leadership of Founder and Chairman Mr. Rajesh Chaudhary, Rajarshi Gurukul was conceived not simply as an institution, but as an educational model shaped by intentional design. The aim was to bring together rigorous academics with a pedagogy that encourages independent thinking, inquiry, and meaningful engagement, moving beyond traditional rote learning toward a more reflective and student-centered approach.
Developed across 20 ropanis of land in Sallaghari, Bhaktapur, the campus was planned as an integrated environment where learning extends naturally across disciplines and experiences. Academic study sits alongside physical development, creative exploration, structured activities, and daily care, allowing students to experience a full and balanced school day within one cohesive setting.
As the school has grown, its educational approach has continued to evolve, integrating national curriculum standards with internationally informed practices that emphasise critical thinking, collaboration, and applied learning. Throughout this evolution, one principle has remained constant: education should be intellectually challenging, thoughtfully structured, and responsive to the changing needs of students and families.
Today, Rajarshi Gurukul reflects that vision — a school shaped by pedagogical intention as much as by infrastructure, offering students an environment where academic growth, personal development, and real-world readiness are developed together.

Rajarshi Gurukul was established with a deliberate intention: to move beyond a narrow interpretation of schooling and toward a model where learning develops analytical ability, clarity of thought, and strength of character. From the outset, our emphasis has been on learning as an active process. Students are not passive recipients of information; they are thinkers, questioners, collaborators, and problem-solvers in the making.
I believe that the uniqueness of each child must be recognised and developed with seriousness and structure. True education does not merely prepare students for examinations.
