“A day of popcorn, laughter, and life lessons – our little ambassadors enjoyed Elio with wide eyes and open hearts!”

Our young learners from Grades 1 to 4 recently enjoyed a delightful and adventurous outing to watch the animated movie Elio—a heartwarming story of a shy boy who unexpectedly becomes Earth’s ambassador to a group of quirky aliens. The movie not only entertained the children but also served as a creative gateway to discussions about self-esteem, communication, and representing oneself in unfamiliar situations.
The atmosphere inside the movie hall was lively and full of curiosity. The excitement among the students was evident from the moment they stepped in. While the younger children of Grades 1 and 2 seemed more fascinated by popcorn and friendly chatter, perhaps due to the foreign language barrier. However, the students in Grades 3 and 4 were more engaged with the plot and visuals, indicating a growing comprehension and maturity in movie-watching.

The first 30 minutes were spent settling down with proper seating arrangements and distributing popcorn and juice, a task that our dedicated and ever-supportive teachers smoothly handled.
The interval went just as smoothly, with only the students in need being escorted by teachers and returning in time for the second half. The cool ambiance of the hall, effective sound system, and vibrant 3D visuals kept the students engaged throughout the film. The characters, dialogues, and storylines successfully held their attention until the very end without any interruptions.
At the end of the movie, students returned their 3D glasses in an organized, grade-wise queue. They exited the hall safely with their teachers via the ladder route—an appropriate and secure option, especially for our youngest learners.

Even after returning to school, the buzz around Elio continued, with many students sharing their favorite scenes and characters. The joy of watching a movie with friends and teachers turned the outing into a memorable and meaningful learning experience.
Moreover, the movie trip to watch Elio was more than just a fun day out. It was an opportunity for students to bond, learn about emotions, and explore the idea of self-identity, and experience teamwork and discipline outside the classroom. Such experiences help build confidence, enhance comprehension, and add joyful chapters to their school journey.
