As a part of the exit point for our Interdisciplinary topic “What’s on the Menu?”, the Grade IV students went on an exciting field trip to Village Highland Resort on 8th August. This trip provided a wonderful opportunity for the students to reflect on everything they had learned during the unit, especially the importance of making healthy food choices and maintaining overall well-being.

Throughout the day, our students were fully engaged in a variety of enjoyable activities. They had a refreshing swimming session, which not only helped to promote physical fitness but also brought so much joy and excitement. It was lovely to see them encouraging each other in the water and becoming more confident with every splash. They also took part in different team-building games, where we could clearly see them communicating, sharing ideas and cheering one another on..
Through this field trip, we wanted our students to truly experience what we had been discussing in the classroom – the importance of eating well, staying active and working together. Seeing them enjoy the swimming session and laugh while playing team games made us feel that the objectives of this unit were achieved in the most meaningful way. It was not just a fun day outside school, but a chance for the students to apply what they had learned in real life. We were so happy to see them making healthy choices, supporting one another and developing stronger bonds. It was a memorable way to conclude the unit and we believe the students returned with lovely memories and a deeper understanding of what healthy living and teamwork really mean.
