Chitwan Tour

The students got a thrilling opportunity in November to visit Sauraha and Maulakali Temple organized by Rajarshi Gurukul for three days and two nights. They had lots of fun on the way singing Dohori and enjoyed sightseeing. They reached Chitwan Paradise Hotel in Sauraha.The Yellowish field filled with mustard plants welcomed the students to the popular tourist destination area in the Southern part of Nepal in Chitwan district of Bagmati province which lies at the edge of Chitwan National Park.

The students visited Tharu Cultural Museum which exhibits Tharu culture and their lifestyle.The people offered full entertainment by performing Stick Dance and Fire Dance in their beautiful  traditional attire in groups in the hotel. The next day, the students enjoyed Jeep Safari for three to four hours in Chitwan National Park.The spectacular landscape, covered with lush vegetation and the Himalayas as the backdrop makes the park an area of exceptional natural beauty. It is a renowned sanctuary to wildlife conservation and biodiversity preservation, encompassing dense forests,grasslands and the pristine Rapti and Narayani River. They got a closer view of the endangered one horned Asiastic Rhinoceros, Spotted Deer, Sambar Deer, Wild Boar, Jungle Cats and birds like Giant hornbill,Black stork, Red vented bulbul during the safari. The view of sunset from the bank of Rapti river, Gharial and Mugger crocodile lying in the river bank was fascinating.

Nestled within the lush greenery of the park lies the Elephant Breeding Center was another attraction which aims to conserve the Asian elephants.The students were overjoyed to see many elephants and gained insights into elephant behaviour. 

The other destination to Maulakali Temple was extremely fascinating. Located on the top of the Maula hill on the north of Narayani river in Gaindakot town of Gandaki Province, Maula Kalika Bhagwati Temple offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. It took around five to eight minutes to reach the temple from the cable car. On the way, they enjoyed a delicious Thakali lunch in Mugling in Three Sisters  Thakali Bhansa Ghar and returned back to Kathmandu. 

Such trips help students to gain new experiences, explore the sites around them and broaden their horizons. It also connects people with diverse cultures ensuring an enjoyable experience to admire the beauty of nature.
