“Dream Big! Dream the Best!”

Every great journey starts with a dream, and ours was no different. We wanted to inspire every student in our school to dream big, to find their voice, and to express their thoughts with confidence. With the unwavering support of our Chairman and Director, that dream became a reality—the RG Debate Championship League 2023/24 was born. More than just a competition, this league has become a movement—one that fuels passion, sharpens minds, and ignites the spirit of debate in every student.
More Than Just a Competition
For both students and parents, this program has been a truly enriching experience. The RG Debate Championship League was developed by RG and brought to life with the support of our incredible LA teams, alongside the expert guidance of our esteemed guest judges—Mr. Mukesh Dangal, Ms. Ankshita Chaudhary, and Prof. Dr. Eak Prasad Duwadi.
A Year-Long Celebration of Debate
Unlike traditional competitions, this league is a year-long journey, with six rounds spread across the academic year—two per term. It’s an exhilarating challenge for students, but also a demanding one for our dedicated judges! With 421 students taking part, each debate is assessed based on salutation, gesture, content, coherence, and overall presentation.
To make it more engaging and fair, participants are divided into four levels:
- Starters (Grades 1–3) – Coordinator: Shraddha Shakya
- Young Speakers (Grades 4–6) – Coordinator: Jaljala Suwal
- Growing Debaters(Grades 7–8) – Coordinator: Shova KC
- Rising Debaters (Grades 9–10) – Coordinator: Hari Krishna Hamo
The Competition’s Journey
The road to the finale has been nothing short of thrilling. With each round, the competition intensified, and only the best debaters advanced. Here’s how the journey unfolded:
- Round 1: 421 participants
- Round 2: 300 participants
- Round 3: 171 participants
- Round 4: 132 participants
- Round 5 (Final): 90 participants
- Round 6 (Finale): 19 participants—the top debater from each class
After months of dedication, practice, and fierce competition, only 19 outstanding debaters remain. They have proven their ability to think critically, articulate persuasively, and stand strong in the face of challenging arguments. The final round will determine the ultimate champion—one who embodies the true essence of debate.
