Exciting Experience in the Inter-School Essay Competition

“A pen is mightier than a sword.” This thought truly came alive for me when I had the honor of representing my school in an Inter-School Essay Competition.

On 18th August 2025, I, along with seven other participants, got the opportunity to compete at the Modern Indian School, Chobhar, Kathmandu. Since it was my first time participating in such an event outside my school, I was filled with both nervousness and excitement.

Upon reaching the venue, we prepared ourselves for the competition. The topic given was “What does society expect from you and what matters to you?”—a theme that was both thought-provoking and challenging.

As the competition began, a wave of nervousness swept over me, and for a moment I doubted myself. But as soon as I started writing, my confidence began to grow. I poured my thoughts onto the paper, trying to express my ideas clearly and use strong vocabulary. The atmosphere in the hall motivated me to stay focused, and I soon found myself deeply engaged in the task. When the time ended, I concluded my essay with satisfaction, hoping for the best outcome.

In conclusion, although the results are still awaited, this experience taught me valuable lessons. It helped me become more confident in expressing my ideas and motivated me to improve as a student. I will always cherish this competition as a memorable stepping stone in my journey of learning and self-improvement. I am truly grateful to my school for giving me such a remarkable opportunity.
